The Pik Me Ups are an acoustic Americana husband and wife duo out of Denver, Colorado. Joshua Tate and Marla Keown fuse sweet harmonies and simple, poignant songwriting to lighten the mood and soothe the soul. It's a blend of mountain music with roots in the heartland.
Both hail from Kansas, where they went to middle school together, sharing band class. Twenty-five years later, these two band nerds serendipitously crossed paths again when Marla came out to photograph Joshua's touring band in Colorado. Sparks flew and the two were married. After a few years of gentle prodding, Joshua convinced Marla to pick up the bass and begin work on a project, which became The Pik Me Ups!
Currently working on their debut album, you can catch The Pik Me Ups all over the Big Island of Hawaii.
